Data Protection Directive

Effective Date: April 8, 2026

This Data Protection Directive sets forth the manner in which US Immigrant Portal collects, processes, retains, and protects personal data obtained through the institutional website and ESTA preparation services. The Declarant is advised to review this document in its entirety prior to furnishing any personal information.

Categories of Data Collected

In the course of administering the ESTA preparation service, this institution collects the personal data necessary for the completion of the Applicant's declaration — including, but not limited to: full legal name, date of birth, nationality, and passport documentation particulars.

Additionally, contact details (electronic mail address, telephone number), travel itinerary information, and technical metadata (IP address, browser type, operating system) are collected for the purposes of platform administration and operational improvement.

Purpose and Application of Collected Data

All collected data is utilised exclusively for the preparation and submission of ESTA declarations, communication of adjudication status, identity verification, payment processing, and the enhancement of institutional services through anonymised statistical analysis.

Under no circumstances shall the Applicant's personal data be utilised for unrelated commercial solicitation or transferred to third-party advertising entities.

Conditions for Data Disclosure

This institution does not trade, rent, or otherwise commercially distribute personal data. Information may be disclosed to vetted service providers who facilitate institutional operations — including payment processors and hosting infrastructure providers — all of which are bound by strict confidentiality undertakings.

Disclosure may additionally occur when compelled by court order, regulatory directive, or law enforcement authority operating within the bounds of applicable law.

Data Protection Measures

SSL/TLS encryption protocols are employed for all data in transit. Server infrastructure is maintained under restricted access controls, and regular security audits are conducted. Payment information is processed by PCI-compliant third-party processors — this institution does not store complete card numbers at any point in the processing lifecycle.

Data Retention and Purging Schedule

Declaration data is retained for a maximum period of thirty-six (36) months following submission, in order to fulfil legal and operational obligations. Upon expiration of this period, all records are permanently and securely purged from institutional systems.

The Applicant may request early deletion at any time by submitting a formal request to the Correspondence Division.

Rights of the Data Subject

Depending upon the applicable jurisdiction of residence, the Declarant may possess the right to access, rectify, export, or request deletion of personal data held by this institution. The Declarant may also withdraw consent or object to specific categories of processing activity.

To exercise any of the foregoing rights, the Declarant shall submit a written request via electronic mail. A response shall be furnished within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt.

Provisions Concerning Minors

The services administered by this institution are designed for natural persons of legal majority. Data is not knowingly collected from persons under the age of eighteen (18). In the event that it is determined that a minor has submitted personal information without proper parental or guardian authorisation, such data shall be expunged without delay.

Amendments to This Directive

This Data Protection Directive may be revised periodically at the discretion of the institution. Amendments shall take effect upon publication. The Declarant is advised to review this document at regular intervals to remain informed regarding the treatment of personal data.
